ARE THERE ANY MEDICAL CONDITIONS THAT WOULD MAKE MASSAGE TREATMENT INADVISABLE?

YES. It is very important that you inform me of any health problems or medication you are taking. If you are under a doctor’s care it is strongly advised that you receive a written recommendation for massage or bodywork prior to any session. Depending on the condition approval from your doctor may be required.

DOES MASSAGE HURT?

Due to some of the techniques, I use to treat your injury or complaint, you may experience some discomfort during the massage session. Throughout the treatment I will explain what I am doing and check if you are happy with the pressure being applied – if you’re not happy I will adjust it accordingly. Good communication is essential and my main priority is to provide a positive, relaxing experience for you.

HOW LONG IS THE INITIAL CONSULTATION?

Your first session will involve a comprehensive history, physical examination, postural assessment (if appropriate) as well as treatment. The duration of the session is approximately one hour. The length of subsequent visits, if required, is dependent on your needs.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?

The number of sessions will depend on your condition and the information acquired from the history and assessment. Further treatment will be discussed with you at the end of your initial consultation

IF I AM LATE CAN I GO OVER MY ALLOTTED TIME?

Unfortunately, if you’re late I won’t be able to go over your allotted time and there will be no deductions from payment to compensate.

IS THERE A WAITING LIST FOR TREATMENT?

No. I can usually see you within 24-48 hours. Sometimes same-day appointments are available.

IS YOUR SERVICE MOBILE ONLY?

Yes. In my experience people prefer to receive treatment in a place that feels comfortable to them.

WHAT ARE THE TERMS AND ACCEPTED METHODS OF PAYMENT?

Payment should be made following each treatment session. I accept payments by credit / debit card, cheques or cash.

WHAT ARE YOUR WORKING HOURS?

I am available every day except Saturdays. If week days are an issue for you I can provide appointments on Sundays. My normal hours of operation are: Mon-Thur 9am – 6pm; Friday 9am – 5pm; Saturday – Closed and Sunday Appointments are available.

WHAT DO I NEED TO WEAR?

Generally, depending on the treatment, shorts and t-shirt or loose fitting clothes work best. You will be properly covered at all times to keep you warm and comfortable. Only the area being worked on at the time will be exposed.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL?

If you need to cancel your appointment I request 24 hours notice – after this you may incur a charge.

WHAT SHOULD I DO BETWEEN TREATMENTS?

Advice will be given at the end of each session. All I ask is that you follow the guidance – this will help to promote a healthier and active lifestyle for you.
